Caldwell 79

Hi All,

A nice globular, just enough cloudfree time to shoot this one.

In reality I was waiting for something else to rise and almost didn't get this one done due to Melbourne's lovely weather.

Anyway, here 'tis.

LRGB 12mins each. Processed to boost the star colours a bit to highlight the old and young stars. Some even look a bit green, which I'm sure is a trick of my eyes.

Cheers
Stuart

That is a seriously good image. Star colours are lovely and guiding spot on.
I think I gotta get me one of those RC8's.

Stuart,

A beautiful cluster. The colours are very nice and the detail is sharp.

I really like this Stuart. Great star colours an near perfect resolution of the core.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Paul, I think it's the OAG that does the trick! Keep working on yours.

Cheers

Nicely done Stuart.

unlike a lot of globular clusters NGC3201 does not have a tightly packed core so is resolvable which Stuart has done well

Colours look good
