Some Sun at last! AR 1045

Hello

My last scoping session was on the 26 January - interstate visits and bad weather are to blame!

But I got out late this afternoon and managed a few minutes of AVI's on two of the three current active regions - 1045 is the big one with spots and filaments aplenty - 1046 is not bad but weak in comparison. North is up and West is right (wierd)

Usual set up - SM40, 2.5 Powermate, DMK31 and Registaxed.

Thanks for looking!

Nice work Matt!

I set up this morning to be the recipient of a few showers although tarpaulins pre vented any water damage. I packed up before grabbing any data, so it’s great that you managed to grab some between the sets! They look quite spectacular!

Cheers

Dennis

Good to see the sun again and good to see some images of sun action.

Well done Matt,

Had a look at your gallery and you are building up quite a nice record of activity on Sol for 2010.

Regards
Trevor

Nice going Matt. I like this view. When the cycle really ramps up and we have spots constantly top and bottom I am going to do something about a larger format sensor.
