Question Information sought on antique armillary

G'day all,

I have someone locally wanting information on an armillary they have acquired. I had a look at it tonight and was very intrigued by it. It appears to be of significant age, although I wouldn't guess at how old. To give you an idea it is about 1.5m round, appears made from brass and wood, and has inscriptions that are not asian or english.

If there is anyone out there on the forum who understands these, knows how to use them, or has knowledge of their development over the years to help identify the time frame from which this celestial armillary is from I would appreciate some assistance.

PM please.

Thanks,
Roger.
