Little help here please? Pretty please?

Hi all

As you all probably know by now, we have visited Sydney a couple of times in the last few years and as a result, our youngest has a "thing" for Koalas. (Auntie is a minder for the City Farm and cousin works there (well, not really auntie and cousin but near as dammit) so we spent a fair bit of time there). Now, as a favour, can anyone find me (and be willing to post me, I can Paypal costs) a 2006 calendar with *only* Koala pics in it please? I would be eternally grateful and could possibly even be convinced a beer may be in order next time I am over... I am all out of favours there atm since we got the school bag (koala) and wallet (yup, you guessed) and don't want to push my luck

Arthur

Yup, I am indeed, brother lives in Fairfield. Been maybe two years since we were there last... Jared, who I am talking about, was then learning the ropes and Lynn, his Mum, was at the time looking after a joey. Got some interesting pics ISTR the last day we were at the farm a film crew were there (some ex-cricketer?) doing a travel programme. We were in it

Anyway, backto the subject... I have tried all the brown trout suppliers but they all want more for the shipping than the calendars! Now, I was maybe thinking of doing some sort of swap - you get me a nice Koala calendar and I'll ship over a twinkly-new ICX098BL from the Ambermile cupboard...

Hi - yes, it is the bw direct replacement for the colour chip in the TouCam Pro. Makes your camera about 3 times more sensitive. No - not housed in anything, you have to supply the webcam Comes in a nice little plastic casing though...

Files? The 098 swap is just that David, take out the old and put in the new Of course it's never that simple as the soldering/desoldering is a bit of a bugger but hey - nothing's free !

Arthur

PS - interesting wish list you have...

Arthur,
PM me your address and I will also send a calendar for your 'youngin'. Even though I have a Modified (long exposure) TouCam give the chip to another member or keep it. I have already been given plenty by this great community and a calendar is minor in comparison to the help I have recieved. Glad to help.

OK People, what he says. We have sorted out the nitty gritty here and so I am left with the problem of having a spare ICX098BL. To maintain this thread in the spirit to which Ken has kindly "donated" the calendar, (and also seemingly, the spirit of the whole forum) I now intend to do the same. So. Who wants it

Really. Anyone got any suggestions as to who would be best served with a new 300% more sensitive Toucam (and would actually be able to perform the exchange of chips)? I will leave the final decision to Ken and once he has decided I'll ship the chip.

Arthur

Arthur, it didn't take me long to know who I would like to see your generous gift go to.

Davo Pretorius has been asking Bird all the ins and outs of B&W processing with a colour filter wheel and I know he really would like to have a B&W chip in his TouCam. I know he is after one.

He has helped many members with TouCam problems (me included) and I would like to see it go to him.

Thankyou very much Arthur!
I'm sure Davo will PM his details to you.
