A bitter sweet day

Yesterday I lost my dear Dad. A wonderful man he was. Very sad.
Then 2 hours later my second daughter had twin boys. Very happy.
What a bitter sweet day.

David I pray that heaven is jumping for joy at the arrival of your dad, while you and your family jump for joy at the arrival of the twins!

Baz.

I am sorry for your loss but happy for your gain. Life is interesting that way and your today just helps demonstrate the "circle of life". Remember your Dad and all that made him wonderful and do your best to pass that part on to the next generation...

Oh David, I don't know what to say.
Your mind must be numb.
You'll be in my thoughts.
Bitter sweet indeed. Congratulations on your two new Grandsons. Love to both of them and give my best wishes to your daughter.

My condolences David, it must be hard for you at the moment with those sort of conflicting emotions.

Think of all the good times you had with your Dad and all of the good times to come with your Grandchildren.

Yes, I do know how you feel. We lost Pop a week or so before our daughter was born. One goes, the other arrives. Life is strange like that. Our thoughts are with you.

David, What to say?
You have experienced in one day what took 26 years in my life. My dad gone in 1983 (too young) and my grand daughter born in 2009.
Sad news and wonderful news.

My thoughts are with you David - through pain and joy.

I remember a similar thing. My wife sitting with her father as he drew his last breath, while outside the room a few week old grand-daughter of his (my wife's niece) was full of life.
