M42 (for Davo)

Here we go Dave!

Not good but the toucam does sort of ok on orion. I was out & about last night seeing what this CCD can do unmodified. Shot @ 1/25th (of course)....about 50 frames. Can at least see the 4 stars in the trap! I had a better one but I lost it. Thinking about modding the toucam.....but I'm also thinking why bother, my tracking is not accurate enough!

Now that I've embaressed myself by posting this yukky pic....I'm outa here byee!

BTW done with the refractor.

You have picked up some of those faint stars in that field of the trapezium asimov. out of focus, blurry, and in B&W we don't care, at least you did it, and there is some detail in there to pick out as well mate. A couple of those faint stars go down to +15 if I remember

thanks for that, i have to get you looking at the raw mod http://www.astrosurf.com/astrobond/ebrawe.htm

it really tightens the stars up

i reckon if you dropped the gain to say 75%, used the raw mod and took say 300 frames, they would stack pretty good

thats great to see what it can do!!

thanks again!!
