I use Firefox & Thunderbird, where do I find the temp internet files?

Documents and settings\your name\ Local settings\Temporary internet files

But you won't find them all there. Only the cookies The real ones are in in folders not accessable from windows.

Windows?
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<some thing>\Cache

*nix?
~/.mozilla/firefox/<something>/Cache
