Frozen Brittania...

Found this remarkable satellite shot of Britain , snow covered and in the grip of an unprecedented cold snap...

cool Britannia

My sister lives in Oxfordshire - cant dig her car out of the garage - been like that for a week. The snow that fell before Christmas, she had to abandon her car for a night, and sleep in the doctors surgery where she works.
My daughter in law is living in Portsmouth. Yesterday she had to get pushed out on to the road - got to the shops, and they had run out of most of the basics - no bread, fresh milk, meat,
spuds etc etc
Yes its bad
Wish I was there

We have just farewelled back to Cornwall in the UK my brother in law and his wife. They were complaining about the heat in Sydney during their stay here. Somehow I think they will now see things in some perspective....
