No image when clicked.
Hi. It seems that some of the images attached to post are not showing up when I click on them. It is some what random, but usually the first image I click on in a post. If I try to click on the thumbnails to the left of the image page, it still does not show up. Any ideas?

"some what random" makes it a little harder.. hmm.
Can you replicate it at all on demand? Does it not work, then work? Or vice versa?
Or is it some threads and not others?
You could try turning off the Enhanced Image Browser in your User Options: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/p...do=editoptions
Down the bottom.
Otherwise, most problems like this are due to:
- Javascript blocking
- Popup blocking
- Firewall blocking
Make sure all of those are set properly too.
Cheers

I also sometimes have this happen. It only happens with firefox. The first image attachment I click on will open the separate tab but not the image. Other images will then open. I assume it has something to do with the firefox cache.

Yes,that is it, and the same browser, but all was ok until this morning. I have not knowingly changed anything, just been using the PC.

Try upgrading (or downgrading) your version of Firefox?
Try using Chrome (or IE).

I also experienced the same problem, I use IE latest version, but it only occured on a single attachment since i have been here. I didn't worry about it and can't remember which post it was.

There has been an update with Firefox and the same thing has happened to me as well. It's not the first time.
Solution: I have switched back to standard picture viewer until the next Firefox update.

For the people with this problem in Firefox. Can you let me know which version you're using. I'll have a look at the problem this week. Cheers.

My version is 3.5.7
I fixed the problem by emptying the offline storage (cache) file.

I had this problem on the weekend with attached images opening a new tab but only a black screen would load. It now appears to have rectified itself. I am using FF 3.5.7

I'm using version 3.5.7 but I'm too tired to do any tests.

No worries. Basically everyone is running the latest version then. I'll have a look at it.

Malcolm, the attached image for that thread is that small size, so there wont be a browser to show the large image because there isn't one to show.
For the people having a problem with the larger images not showing using the enhanced browser, could you please do me a favour and press ctrl+F5 to refresh the browser when all you see is a black screen. And then let me know if the image is then displayed. Thanks.
Getting there, I'll track this problem down... eventually.
