Finally finally got my mount working well.
This is first light for the new and improved HEQ5Pro.
19 x 5min @ iso800
Darks taken but no flats. It needs flats badly.
Processed in the field using DSS and CS3.
ED80
Canon 20d
Oh, and I shot in jpeg by mistake. I'm such a nong.
LOL but I wasn't going to waste all those lovely subs.

I've had the mount partially dissembled for the last week and a half. Put it back together today.
You wouldn't believe how happy I am that it's now working as it should.

That's a great shot
There's a lot of detail in there. Is your camera cooled?
I might try the same, although it wont be through the scope unfortunately.

Hi JJJ,
That is a great shot. I also thought your SUN shot in the other forum was fantastic. How amazing does that thing look when you can actually see its shape rather than glare. I have avoided I think posting my horsey from Asrofest because I have blue halo's the size of basketballs that dominate my image although someone could advise on how to get rid of these if possible. Maybe I should. Have a good Chrismas and new year and look forward to more of your photos.

That's a great result Nettie
I'm aware of the level of stress you've been living with over this mount, and I'm really glad that you now have it sorted. Well done ma'am!

Dear oh dear. When did you first notice you were collecting JPG subs? Nice image though, the ED80 + DSLR combo does well on this area of sky
