The Ultimate Takahashi Set-Up

Hi Guys, for reasons that I do not really want to discuss here, I am changing my direction in life and will be offering my complete imaging set-up for sale.

I am moving away from Astronomy, I have been doing this for so long I want a change, and Alice and I want a change, maybe one day I will be back.

I will leave my IIS account open and spy on you guys from time to time, you have all been wonderful friends, and I have learnt so much, and for that I thank you sincerely

OK…….. We are talking of a complete Takahashi set-up, this would suit the person who can have it all in one hit.

Yep I agree it is not cheap, but quality costs.

You would be getting a set-up of total Takahashi, and the Losmandy G11 mount with level 4 GO-TO. Plus all the extra bits, and a Modified Canon Full Frame DSLR.

If you dig the hole today, you can be imaging tomorrow

Every item listed here is in pristine condition, and to those that know me will agree, I am very fussy with my glass.

Listed below are all the items that will come with this package.

You will get the main Tak (FSQ-106) Tak Guide scope (FS60-CB) Tak Finder Scope, and the list goes on just read below.

The list below in Blue is what I paid for this set-up, and all receipts are available for every item

Also some pic’s will be provided, and I’m open to any question through PM please.

Please remember this is not a have to sale, I am prepared to wait for the right buyer.

Takahashi FSQ-106 Quadruplet Refractor (pristine condition) $4200.00
Takahashi FS60-CB used as my guide scope $900.00
Takahashi Clam Shell Tube Holders x 2 @ $180.00 each $360.00
Takahashi Finder Scope $305.00
Takahashi 2 inch Diagonal $290.00
Takahashi Base Plate to fit G11 Mount $185.00
Takahashi Extender Q x 1.6 with all extender tubes, brand new, never used $395.00
Takahashi Adapter No. 70 and No. 66 $125.00
Takahashi Adapters and rings, TKE 30003, TKP 3005, TKA 23201 $180.00
Takahashi LE 7.5 Eyepiece $185.00
Losmandy G11 Mount with Gemini Level 4 GO-TO $5910.00
Dew Controller plus 2 x 8 inch, and 1 x 6 inch Dew Heater Straps $299.00
Orion Star Shoot Autoguider Camera and leads $379.00
Canon IV/UR modified DSLR $4400.00
Canon ACK-E2 AC power supply $114.00
2 x 13.8. 10 AMP Regulated Power Supplies, SEC 1212, @ 169.00 each $338.00
Hutech 48mm Light Pollution Filter $189.00
Hutech 72 mm-Light Pollution Filter (Screws into the rear of the Tak) $300.00
Meade Recital Eyepiece $249.00
All Cables, Leads, and accessories, plus some bits I probably forgot. (Approx.) $200.00

Total paid. $19,503.00

These were the prices I paid, (receipts are available for ever item), but of coarse I do not expect you to pay this price.

I will reduce this price by 1/3rd of the total cost with all the extras thrown in, see below

Your price. $13,002, Well lets say $13,000 even, give or take a couple of hundred dollars either way, I am Negotiable

Now the sweeter., and it is free with this sale, I will deliver, to your door, and dig the hole if you like.

This is optional but I do have a 250KG Pier that needs to be planted, it has the 140mm Diameter head, which exactly fits the diameter of the base of the G11/G8 Mounts.

The Pier is made of 6mm thick steel, and is 150mm (6”) square tube filled with cement, it is well cured, as I made it 12 months ago, and It just needs some one to dig a hole.

I am prepared to deliver in a radius of 800 kilometers Free of charge, (All of VIC, and SA, NSW half way, not to QLD, NT,or WA.

I would prefer delivery this way as this equipment is not cheap, and we do not want to lose or damage some in transit, I will even help you dig the hole.

If it has to be shipped it will be packed well, but you will have to cover this cost, and I estimate at least $200.00, I will drive it to your door for that, but that is your choice

I you purchase at the set price for cash you will receive a 5 % discount. Making the price $12,350.00

I offer Lay-By, and will be prepared for you to take a, 6-month, or 12 month contract divided into the total amount as a monthly payment

Tell me what you would like to do, make me offers, whatever, lets talk., but please, no ridiculous offers.

I do not really want to split up, and would prefer a one-unit sale, but if it comes to that I will consider this later

I will run this sale for 4 weeks, and after that time I will consider sales of individual pieces.

Leon

PS, I forgot, you will also get my completed cooler box that I made, at a cost of $200.00, Free.

Leon,

Your private message inbox is full.

I'll just write here what I was posting to you in private.

Leon,

I know you've mentioned you'd prefer to sell in one go.

However, if that does not eventuate, I would love to purchase the 5D and ACK power supply off you.

I'll take the FSQ/adapters, as well.

Regards,
Humayun

Leon, you shock us all!
Now, let's see. Apparently you are only 683 km away from me. So, will you deliver to Hobart???
Cheers, and good luck with your future adventures.

H Guys thanks for interest in this sale, some of you have shown interest in certain items, and if the package dose not sell as one unit you will be the first i contact.

I will answer your PM's individually as soon as I come home tonight from work.

Many Thanks.

Thanks guys for all your PM's regarding this sale, as I have already mentions to some of you I will sit on this package for a week from today.

I may have two potential buyers for the lot, however that is not certain as yet

So I this falls through I will break it up and contact the people interested in certain items.

If this is the case than the people that PM'ed me first with interest in items will get first dig at that item. I think that is probably the fairest way to do it, as I have a number of people interested in the same thing.

Also may I say some of you good people have shown concern regarding this sale, in the sense that all is not well with Alice and me.

Just to put your minds at ease, all is good and this sale was not prompted by any family issues or problems, but thank you anyway for your thoughts.

So If you can all hang in there for a few more days, and it dose not sell as one unit then the selling will begin.

Good luck with the sale and the new direction leon.

To any potential buyers...I've bought gear from leon on a few occasions over the years and he keeps his stuff in absolutely as-new condition. Anyone considering purchasing this rig would be getting a mint set-up.

All the best

re tak gear

Struth!,someone is going to get a really good package there Leon.

At a very fair price,I think you are going the right way about selling.

And not to be in a hurry,or in hurry to split.I personally do'nt think you

will have to split it all up.If you did i would be interested in 40D.

I sincererly hope your new direction, goes very well and smoothly.

regards Chris
