Ed Alleyne-Johnson

My profuse apologies for the completely off-topic post. However, I have to share this.

Anyone who knows me, knows I have esoteric tastes when it comes to music. So, bearing that in mind, this is quite possibly one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever heard. Was just going through my favourites and was surprised to see how many views it has now.

Let it warm the cockles of your heart as it does mine each time I listen to it.

If you like the sound of it, then, I urge you to hunt down Jean Luc Ponte's work, as well as any John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra for that fusion goodness.

Regards,
Humayun

P.S. He carved the thing himself with a kitchen knife.

Beautiful music, extraordinary talent.
Puts me in mind of Jimmy Page playing his 'lectric guitar with a bow.
Check this out.

Ah, Jeanette.

Led Zeppelin were my favourite band for a long time.

I have amassed a rather large collection of bootlegged concerts (was part of the Badgeholders online bootleg trading ring for several years during the mid-late 90s).

I gave up as it became a prohibitively expensive hobby -- especially as a high school and university student with no income!

I've got loads of live footage, books, boxed set (Complete Studio Recordings), DVDs and Maxell Type II metal tapes full of the stuff.

My favourite concert is from Fillmore East, April 24th, 1969. Amazing.

Regards,
Humayun

I must say I'm a bit of a fan.
The only dvd I have is that dbl dvd set released in 2003. Lots of old footage. 5 hrs of unreleased stuff.
Coincidently, I'm reading "When Giants Walked the Earth" right now. They've covered the Fillmore concerts already.

Top stuff Humayun, thanks for the link.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra, now that's a band I haven't heard of in a long while, they were excellent.

Cheers
