wasting the night away

I was too tired to go to the viewing evening at Shortland for the NAS so I did the next best thing – I set up the camera and dragged out the manual Russian fish eye lens and imaged the sky looking directly north from where my observatory will eventually stand. Light pollution, water vapour, dust, crud…….and out of focus because the lens is manual I tried to get focus – was out – but hey who cares at least I didn’t loose any sleep over it – set and forget from 9.45pm until 4 this morning.
I was hoping to catch a few meteors - but i got nothing

David,

Crop the bottom off up to the roof line and you have a fantastic, surreal image.

Well done.

Humayun
