backyard observatory / office

Hi all, need some inspiration and maybe some plans.

we live in the Philippines on the side of a mountain with dark skies everywhere but to the east and a north south horizon that averages about 20 degrees above the horizon.

We own an Orion 4.5" short tube reflector on an eq mount and a Meade 8" LB. As well we have the use of an 8" SCT but it doesn't get used too much.

We would like to put up an observatory that will allow us to leave all 3 scopes set up (I have health problems and moving stuff around is a problem).

We also suffer lots of brown outs so what ever type of movable roof we build will need to be hand crank-able.

Any and all inspirations gratefully accepted.
Brian

Brian,

Here is a site link with list of links to many backyard observatory setups. Plenty of inspiration.

And this yahoo group also has a lot of good information.
