why the long face?

Female jumping spider. She was quite big. Not a recent shot, but came across it while trying to find crane fly shots.

Lovely photo Troy. The DOF really makes this one pop! This little girl seems to have eyes at the rear side of her head as well as the 4 forward?

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks guys. Not one of my best, but more because it followed a question Dennis was asking about spiders' eyes. Can't find the other shot I had in mind unfortunately.

These guys have those front pairs to give them excellent depth perception, the side and rear ones are more simple for movement detection.

great shot, nice detail, I think I might need to get myself a macro lense and and give it a go.

And the list gets longer....
