Arkaroola, North Flinders Ranges

Arkaroola is a wilderness sanctuary in the Northern Flinders Ranges. Took this shot on one of the walking tracks. The clear sky is indicative of the many clear nights enjoyed there

That looks like a great place! Forgot what a blue sky looks like. Not a hint of white wisp. Why? oh...wait! It's all here in Sydney. None left for SA.

Thanks guys. If you ever get the chance it is well worth the effort to get there. Once you get over the dust and heat that is
Thanks Eric, I was lucky to get some observing in one of their 14" SCT's
(http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=52075). Apparently their binocular "star chairs" have been nothing but trouble and are constantly breaking down

Look at the mean clear days graph. Are all you Melburnians planning on moving to Arkaroola?
