Horse Head Region

Another first from the 20d and me.
I only managed to get 45minutes of data @ISO 1600, and short subs at that, just 3min.
But I'm happy with how it turned out all things considered.
I hope to add more to it over the next few sessions.

Good one! You just need more data. Keep at it. Not an easy one. Too faint

It's certainly a challenge, trying to draw out the horse but not blow out the stars. Damn hard.
I can't wait to be able to really stretch out this one out.
Thanks for taking a peek.

Good image Jjj. I can appreciate how difficult it is to image this with a 20D. I tried but couldn't. Ye Olde mantra.... More data but congrats on getting this one.

That's right Jen.
It's as bright as I dare go with so little data.

I love how Alnitak looks - very angry

All over a lovely subtle processing. Yes, the detail and colour depth would only get better with more data of course but you already know that...like so many others...I just like to state the bleedin obvious

Nice work future DM winner

Mike

I remember the first time I managed to see the " horsehead " in one of my images ... exciting stuff ... well done Jeanettte ... keep at it and add more data ... there's plenty of time for this target and the time will make the difference as you know

Nice image Jeanette. This image will benifit from adding data as the Horses head usually does.
Well done.
