Did I just get Spammed?

Hi,
I have a wanted add in the classified section for a Celestron Wedge.
I have a notification activated.

I just received an email to say I got a response.
It contained a heck of a lot of text on the history of chocolate.
And links to various fake rolex watches.

supposedly from an IIS registed member ?

But when I look at the thread in IIS there is no trace of it.

Did an IIS feature detect its spurious nature and delete all trace of it?
If so, that is impressive.

We are selling a car online and have received many scam responses. One of them imitated Drive.com.au but was not actually from that website. That may have been what happened to you.
