Lucky me...just passed 2,000 posts

I was surprised to notice that I have now passed the 2,000 post mark.

At this "historic milestone" I'd like to offer my thanks to Mike and Terry and all of the Mods and Members for making this a helpful and useful community of interested astro hobbyists.

While not always the case, I've tried to limit and self moderate my posts since joining this forum and I've strived to avoid unnecessary controversy while being occassionally entertaining and helpful in my posts.

I look forward to my next 2,000 posts and reading more useful information from the many contributors here at IIS.

I look forward to your posts and being over 50 I am still in awe of the fact that you are so far away and yet right here. I am old!

Good question and one my children ask regularly...

Hopefully in 2010 we will get a chance to at least visit...I sure miss the Southern Hemisphere Sky and of course with winter approaching here the Sydney Beaches sure sound inviting...
