.wmv to .avi help please.

Hi all,

Is there a way of changing a video file stored under .wmv (windows movie video) to a .avi file?

The logitech webcam I'm using stores under .wmv as default & I can't don't know if there is a way to change this setting.

Used the webcam to take a view videos of Jupiter through my C5, which proved much easier to control than my Odyssey, the slower f/ratio made things easier that is. I'm pleased with the result, just can't use it to be processed in Registax.

Help is apprieciated.

Mental

Give Virtual Dub a go. If that doesn't work try Virtual Dub Mod, it works with more files.
Give us a hoy if you have any troubles with it.

ffmpeg maybe. There is a Windoze version. You just need to be happy with the command line and the gazillions of options.
