EOI - Meade ETX-105 plus Various Accessories

Hi,

I'm looking at possibly moving on this setup as I've simply accumlated too much astro gear!. Although this is a great portable setup I'm finding I'm not getting it out anymore as I've purchased a much bigger scope. I beleive I'm the third owner of this scope.

I'm not sure what is a fair price - but would prefer to sell as a package - everything is listed below.

Feel free to discuss what you think a fair price would be. I can probably post pics up on Monday of the setup.

Portable goto setup for the beginner including:

  • Meade ETX 105 Telescope & Tripod
  • Genuine Meade Hardcase (finished in Alumninium with purpose cut foams to accommodate scope, focuser, eyepieces etc)
  • Genuine Meade Tripod bag
  • Meade 1244 Electric Focuser
  • Meade 675 screw on dewshield
  • Rear port camera adaptor (meade genuine part –without camera ring)
  • Solar filter (solid – screw on type – not home made) for viewing the sun.
  • PC Control cable (non genuine – quality made cable) – and autostar suite.
  • Meade LPI – parafocal ring and software (in original box).
  • Included is a EQ Wedge (adjustable) that utilises the legs off the standard field tripod.
I'm really not sure what price to ask, and honestly if it's not enough, then I'll likely keep the setup for travelling around.

If interested I can probably also provide a cheap older laptop for those interested in getting into the PC control and imaging side.

PM for further details. Scope is located in SE suburbs of Melbourne - Can ship Aus wide at your cost but would much prefer a local sale and pickup.

Jamie

Edited to add photo's of the scope and parts as described. There are several photo's of the wedge that look confusing as it's from multple angles. It uses the legs from the standard tripod.

Edit - Added Photo's for those who are interested.

Pictured in box but not fitted is the optional electronic focuser and hand paddle, as well as the rear port camera adaptor (no T piece sorry - these are only $10-$15 or so).

Fitted is the Dew shield, and also the solar filter which gives nice solar views.

Also shown are the meade case with cut-outs etc - included is one Series 4000 Eyepiece (Meade QX Wide Angle 15mm).

If there is anything mentioned you'd like more information about - please PM me and I can post up further information.

Also - if it helps I can probably drop off in some areas of Melbourne - PM me also if you require delivery - otherwise - can ship Australia Wide.

Hi Jamie

Never owned a telescope but want to get started and this looks inviting.

Price: Is $400.00 in the ball park? I am in Gosford NSW but will be travelling through Melbourne in mid November on the way nto Tasmania.

Any more interest before I throw this item on ebay ( I know this is probably not likely to sell here as it's a beginners scope and most beginners don't discover iceinspace until they've purchased their first scope)?
