I think it also says something about the public sector over the private sector. NASA (public sector) put people on the moon and everything else. Of course the pribate sector goes to great pains to demean the public sector so they can privatise the business and steal public assets.
I saw Catalyst. Im so glad the CSIRO decided to sue all the big nape computer companies after they refused to negotiate liscencing. Then I laughed as they all caved in when they realized they couldnt intimidate the CSIRO.
This has been going for years. Some little company was taken to court by CSIRO for infringing their patent or not paying the appropriate royalties a few cents per chip.
This company fought very hard and nearly won. Then MS got a sniff and all the other big companies decided to go CSIRO. It cost CSIRO over TEN MILLION DOLLARS to defend their patent. They won!
They are a bunch of pirates. If you steal from them they will evicerate you.
Makes you wonder about patenting anything. Have you got ten million dollars?
If I have a very bright idea I make it public on the web and other places. That way everybody can use it.
