Wildlife around the lagoon - Widefield

A swan and an eagle looking to eat trifid by the lagoon.

12x 5min subs, plus darks and flats, stacked with DSS, a bit of post processing in PS CS2.

55mm @ F5.6

This is from an unmodded Canon 1000d with the "kit" 55-250 IS lens.

It took 25 exposures to capture 12 "usable" frames.

I think it is called "periodic error" . The camera is strapped to an ETX125 which is not the most ideal astrophotography mount, but it works if you kick it hard enough.

Guiding...... whats that? ever tried to guide at 1900mm f/l with a mount as loose as ...... wont go there.

This is just pure alignment.
