Full moon

Why does the full moon always occur on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday night?

Surely it could wait til Wednesday.

Yes I agree. After the all cloudy nights I've had recently and the dust storms, I can't honestly remember the last time I went out.

Ah but it's the beauty of this hobby. Very much a patience game that requires everything to fall into place before you can head outdoors.

Free night - Check
Cloudless skies - Check
Favourable seeing conditions - Check
Moonless sky - Doh!

Game over, try again.

You guys are so right, I reckon it has been some months since i have seen a reasonable night, this has probably been the worst year of cloudy, full Moons.

probability of a moon 87% or more on at least one Fri, Sat, Sun per month?

It doesn't have to be full to stuff up your viewing. Yesterday was a washout, unless you wanted a wide angle of the moon and Jupiter.
