Lagoon Nebula

Hi All,

It has been absolutely CRAP weather over here in Perth over the last few weeks so i used up some points left in my lightbuckets account.

This was taken on LB0004 which is based in Pingelly W.A

One 600sec exposure through Ha.. Dark, bias and flats applied accordingly

Lovely image Ben. I can't believe how much fine detail you managed with just 1 X 600 sec exposure. What scope is this shot with?

Really very nice. I love Ha images.

Hi Doug,

It was shot with the LightBuckets LB0004 Rig which is a RCOS 14.5in f9 with an Apogee Alta U16M strapped to the back

I'm only just starting out in imaging, so I have a long way to go, but hopefully, one day, I'll be doing HA images like this as well

That is a mighty fine image for only 600Sec Ben and looks like a stacked picture of at least 10.
Well done

Ben,

It's hard to believe that that is just a single frame. The amount of crisp detail in the central portion of the nebula is incredible. I don't think I've ever seen it so crisp before. Wow!

Imagine 5 or 6 hours of those stacked. Goodness me.

Regards,
Humayun
