Calling all AIRCable users
The combination of being fascinated by gadgets and new whizbang gear with not being anywhere near as clever as I should be is always dangerous.
In this case, it is an AIRCable that has arrived hot from the manufacturer and ready for my EQ^ and ASCOM setup. The idea of course is to dump that serial cable and use the Bluetooth connectivity to replace it. That's the theory anyway.
But I seem to have got my AIRCable into the wrong mode and can't figure out how to get it back to slave mode. The related problem is that I can't get HyperTerminal to talk to it either.
The manufacturer has been really helpful with one-line advice consisting of :"the documenation is on the web site". So far I've actually got the thing (briefly) to agree to be a slave and run the SPP but after that, it has reverted to being a MAster device and won't talk to me at all.
Can ayone who has one of these things set up in XP possibly tell me what the settings are in both Bluetooth, HyperTerminal etc and what the devil I need to do to get this thing to talk to me.
