NGC55 and NGC253 in Sculptor

I just had two fantastic nights in the observatory.

I got stacks of 15 minute subs on these two galaxies over the two nights.

NGC253 2hr 30 min
NGC55 3hr 75 min

Skywatcher Black Diamond ED120 on an EQ6
Orion Starshoot Pro III DSI (OS colour)

Stacked in MaxIm DL Essentials, PP in Photoshop Elements 6. I think I am getting a little better at this each time..

C&C welcome though...

Isn't fantastic to finally get some quality observing/imaging time!
You've spent your time most productively.
Great images!

Very nice Barry, Plenty of detail in Sculptor with good guiding.
I can also see a very distant galaxy to the top RH side of 253.

Cheers Daniel.

Great piccies there Baz...great work

Just looking at your NGC55 image, you've managed to image a few of the galaxy's globular clusters

Not sure which ones they are, but I'm looking at a few maps of the galaxy now and it's pretty certain that you've managed to find most of the brighter ones

Thanks Jeanette, Daniel and Carl,

I got sooo much data, I still have 3 DSO's to process!

What a weekend!

Barry,

Well done! Great colouring on the spirals in NGC 253.

Regards,
