I have no image software on my laptop to adjust the exposure a tad , so the image is a little dark.
Complain to the council that the light is shining into you bedroom and disturbs your sleep and is affecting your health and they need to but a better rflector on it so the light is directed onto the road and footpath not into your bedroom
Check the ASV site, they have a very informative article on light pollution. Ken James and the Snake Valley mob had great success with their local government authority regarding the reduction of same, Ken did present an article to IIS some time ago. Victoria also have laws regarding architectiral lighting.
Ahh the dreaded street lighting.
Its a shame they provide some security but the downside is astronomy.
Its just a shame they dont give light to where its needed (on the ground).

That looks like a right pain in the... You might be able to do something about the street light. I like Trevor's ideas. sounds like it worked. I don't know what you could do about the light from the shopping mall. Which affects you more the street light or the mall?

Get a can of black mate paint from bunnings then paint the side facing your property. That'll dim things dramatically.
On the S side I have a "cooperative" neighbour. I hope the wisteria grows back quickly (blown down by wind a while back - filled most of a 3 metre skip) and hides the windows. To the NW a walkway light and a street light. To the N, two street lights through the trees.
E and W are OK from a light perspective. One blocked by the house to about 20 deg and the other by trees to about 50 deg.
The front yard is probably darker but is quite a bit steeper, has a better view to the W, but less visibility in all other directions. Images are only to illustrate light pollution and are hand held at around 2-3 seconds.
