User map...can this be done?

I have seen some forums in the past that had a location map
function where you could see the location of the members on
a 'drawing pin' style map.

A typical example is here:
http://www.davep.org/SPA-Map/

It's zoomable, click on anyone and it gives the members details.

Is this at all feasible for IIS? Maybe it's already here somewhere?

I think it would be cool to check where our members come from
spread around the globe....

Thoughts?

Steve

There will be a zoomable map in the near future, like google maps.

I and many others adjusted their Lat & Lon so as not to pinpoint where expensive astro equipment is located.Maybe thats why there are locations that look a bit odd.

That's a great idea Mike. It's getting hard to find who is who in the bigger cities. I like to explore around from time to time and see where members are from.

Cheers

Gary

I got rid of the seconds. There are enough other IIS members near here with more expensive gear for me not to be an early target.
