Notice its 1/1/2005. My digital camera defaults to 1/1/2006 when I don't reset th internal date upon replacing the recharged battery. I'd say same deal here.
It must be a rare Coulter 17.5" with a good mirror. I've star tested a number here and there and found they averaged around 1 wave undercorrected so the owners gave up with high power eyepieces. Many of them floating around have been since refigured. But then the Coulter Odyssey dobs seeded the market for what it has become today , so it was a necessary part of the evolution of larger amateur telescopes.
Coulter truly invented the term `light bucket' when applied to large amateur owned Dobsonians..its taken years for large faster F ratio quality Newtonians to be taken seriously as the high resolution instruments that they mostly are .
