I gather from the discussion that this gentleman was able to upgrade his Auto Tracking Skywatcher 12" Flextube Dobsonian to fully GOTO, without too much trouble. He expressly says that the news earlier this month that these scopes couldnt be upgraded to go to is wrong.
I'm afraid the discussion is beyond my technical understanding but for those who find this cloudy nights thread interesting I would be grateful for any advice as to what would be involved in upgrading this scope to fully go to.
