Hi Matt & All,

And the Judge's reply to the statement of the defendant was:

"Uh ... whatever ..."

Best,

Perhaps the punishment should fit the crime?? Distribute a naked picture of the perpetrator.

I know, I know - PC, TOS all that sort of thing. My defence your honour is 'Friday afternoon'.

They didn't exactly "throw the book at her", but I would have at least "thrown the burger at her!"

I always laugh when I hear people who were in high school just a few years ago inform me that they are a "manager"...I guess managing to flip a burger is obviously not beyond this brat.

I grew up in the flower power/hippy era of the 60’s. I’m sure our parents would have responded in much the same way that I, a baby boomer, now respond to the behaviour of the Gen Y’s, despite trying to talk myself out of not being so mildly “judgmental”, although even that is too strong a word. More like bemused, perhaps?

Cheers

Gen Y grew up with video cameras built into their mobile phones, so the technology for mischief is now ubiquitous.

There is a disparity between the technology, and it's responsible use.

Don't underestimate the role and responsibility of Boomers in the Gey Y malaise, Dennis! I think you'll find most Ys have boomers for parents

Ahhh, yes! I see where you are coming from Matt.

We chose (very wisely for us!) not to have children, so we missed out on passing on our bad habits, poor parenting and guilt from “give them everything we didn’t have” baggage to them!

Cheers

Dennis
