focal reduction

im curious about this- last night i wanted to image jupiter again, but the winds and clouds made any attempt a waste- since i had the webcam out on my 9.25, i imaged the moon with the f6.3 reducer, for the fun of it, i then ADDED the neximage .5 reducer ( i think it is)--i got a much wider FOV and seemingly a brighter image- does this mean i was at f/3 or something like that on the SCT?
