Severe Thunderstorm in NSW yesterday!

did anyone get a chance to see the very severe thunderstorm in NSW yesterday. Apparently had 8cm hail in it, and by the looks of radar it looked quite a nice mesocyclone. Commonly called a HP (high precipitation) Supercell. From what I have hear it was almost tornadic. Radar image below.

No didn't see yesterday's one, but they are quite horrific if you've ever experienced one of these.
I would NOT like to see one ever again. We had one go through here (Central Coast) last Feb.
The damage to property was extensive.

That's the one that damaged my Parents house in Toukley Central Coast. Most houses in their street were damaged!

Now thats some serious Ice. I am lucky enough down here to only have experienced one major hail storm and that was back in 1991. The other hail storms we have had a wintery type with small 1cm hail which covered the ground totally in a thick blanket. I have seen damage caused by these I have also investigated the damage to put into a storm damage assesment. Needless to say these types of stones are killers. (even half the size can kill a large animal)

We had a hailstorm down here about 16 years ago. It was so bad that it destroyed hundreds of buildings and thousands of cars and killed one lady.

The hailstones averaged grapefruit size.

They even made bumper stickers that say 'I Hail From Ballarat', with a drawing of Hailstones on it (I have one still).
