Dumbell from Astrofest

Hello All,

This is my first photo on Ice in Space any comments welcome.

Second night at Astrofest:

Skywatcher ED80 with Canon 20D(unmodded)

6 x 5min shots @800iso - Guided with PHD

Thanks to all at "Imaging Central" for the processing help.

Very nice. Looks even better on this monitor. Well done mate.

I'm still practising this processing business, trying to recall Ponder's tips. I took notes but re-reading them, they don't make any sense. I think I was a bit tired when taking them and they're all jibberish. Ahahahaah.

Geoff,

Kudos to you. That's a wonderful first image.

One thing I can note that could do with a little improvement is that there is a slight green cast to the image. If you tone that down in Photoshop, it'll finish off an already excellent image.

Great first image Geoff. A very pretty dumbell to be proud of. Looks like Astrofest was a corker for the weather looking at the number of photos taken. Maybe get there one day.
