Heq5Pro Auto Guide Speed

I have just been reviewing the settings on my Heq5Pro mount paddle. I notice that a range of Auto Guide Speeds of from 0.125 to 1x are available with the factory default setting at 0.5x.
I use PHD for guiding and am wondering if there is an optimum setting for this software or other any considerations that should be given in selecting the Guide Speed?

I tried all different settings auto guiding on mine but I find that the default seems to work best.

Thanks - I may try experimenting with other speeds during the coming bright Moon period and report if I see any significant advantage of moving from the 0.5x rate.
