No Dave, The only sign in Ballarat to Snake Valley is on a different road. The map shows the easiest and quickest way. You won't get lost, it's too easy to find if you follow the map.
If you get lost (which I doubt) just ring me on my mobile. I have full CDMA coverage. 0418 425 207
I am really amazed at the weather forecast.
It has been Consistantly Raining And Persistantly cloudy for months, but it is going to clear up right when we need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand the weather map! (on Weather Channel Site)
It updates every 10 minutes and yet it is wrong. See map below. The red dot is where I am and it is currently POURING down and we are having a thunderstorm, yet the map shows clear sky here.
Yes, a most intriguing problem that! Bit like here when it says theres no jetstream. Usually turns out to be a load of ......ah...a big fat white lie!!
Apart from the subliminal messages , the forecasters and the radar are always behind, by the time the computers receive the data and process it and upload it to the server and then you get it displayed through a refresh it could be 15-20minutes later. Care and Reasonable Algorithmic Processing will always cloud the judgement . I hope all is well for the next 9 days , especially for Mike. He is travelling a long way for good weather and top views!
I wish you all clear skies and perfect seeing at Snake Valley. I've been reading ALL YOUR POSTS ABOUT THE CAMP FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS, AND i'M GREEN WITH ENVY.
Sure wish I could get there to meet some of you characters in person!!! (and learn a few things as well).
Mike & family are currently on their way to my place which is about 170kms south of Snake Valley & its humid & pouring.Still, if it buckets now, it may be fine for the weekend.I'll be coming up on sunday.
I jumped on here just now with the intent of informing all that I'll be following clear skies (east) all the way to star-camp!! (it cleared this morn @ 4am) But another front is forming & already it's overcast.
