The stars are always good in the centre, I think I may need a field flattener, I think the light cone from the ED80 is slightly bigger than the Canon Cmos? But thanks for your input.

Thanks, only one minutes exposures, this camera is sensitive but I'm building up to more.

in summer you may want ISO1600 when the camera is running hotter and you may end up with a better signal to noise ratio.
Also if you can it is better to run a DSLR off a power supply rather than its internal battery which heats up as the long exposure goes along.

Thanks Greg, you are right, I will stick with the 800ISO and go longer, it was the first time out and wasn't sure how far I can push it. I am using the DSLR power supply and it does make a difference.
