Question Grave next to Marilyn for sale

I thought of putting this in the "Corporate Greed" thread, but it didn't quite fit

"But Mrs Poncher is selling the chance to reserve a "place in eternity" directly above the Hollywood sex symbol, telling the LA Times that her own husband was placed face down in his crypt on top of the actress, in keeping with his dying wish."

Hi Ron,

That report about Hefner, Hugh purchased the one next to Marilyn in '62. Not 92. $60,000 (about that).

According to what I was told while in LA in Feb 09, Monroe was Hugh's first centerfold. The day Marilyn died, Hefner made the purchase.

The bus, tour guide, made a competition out of it. "Who can tell me the person, still alive that owns the plot next to the Star of the 50's?"

Some dumb answers came up. " Kennedy, DiMaggio, Elton John? "

Interesting to me 'cause I've been there and can relate to it. Thanks Ron.

Cheers Marty

Why quote the BBC here, Ron. It is not the only source!

I.e. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2...17/2657571.htm http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/s...9-7642,00.html

http://www.theage.com.au/lifestyle/p...0816-em8m.html

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/mon...-1225762412752

Please use Australian sources!
They are far more reliable!

Note: I though Richard Poncher was already placed here. Ie.

Hey Ron,
Congratulations, you now seem to have your very own critic or fan. I mean anyone who reads just about everything you post and then has a comment must be either a critic or fan. right?

Actually it is only if it is from the BBC....
The errors of this rabid Brit organisation is certainly akin to tabloid journalism. It really cheese me off - especially when other sites do so very much better.
Frankly, I really don't know what Ron sees in promoting the BBC site all the time. Knowing the total garbage, the bias, and the open dishonesty that is produce nearly all the time by this disgusting website - and the blanketed blatant political agenda behind it - well you have to say something.
Frankly this Brit site is mostly absolute crap, and more often than not, I have already read about the subject elsewhere. Also these alternative sites are often presented with a far more balanced appraisal.

Ron's contributions hasn't really been all negative though... I really do enjoy his sometimes insightful observational reports and observational posts, especially some of the ones like on planetary nebulae. IMO if he would just stay on this good stuff - which he is both proficient and knowledgeable about - their wouldn't be a problem. If he did more of this in posts, then I'd certainly would be a better fanatical "fan."
* NOTE: The one thing I personally object to in this article (and the media in general) is the disgusting "pimping" of an established grave site prostituted by Mrs. Poncher. Having no respect for the dead, especially if you are related to the deceased, is wrong. IMO she is really one very sick puppy!

"Spending eternity atop Marilyn Monroe will cost one lucky bidder $US4.6 million ($5.5 million), according to eBay. It was not immediately clear who made the winning bid of $4,602,100 for the cemetery spot in Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles."
