has anyone used etax?

I am trying to connect etax to the internet to lodge my return, but it keeps coming back to the screen in the picture. And I keep clicking "OK". It's an endless loop.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Edit: the computer does something when I press "ok", and the little internet icon in the taskbar shows activity. But then it just comes back to the same page.

Its not being blocked by a firewall or similar?
Mine just went through to the next screen where you put in your details from a previous tax return form..

I just saved the tax file, uninstalled then reinstalled etax, restored the file, and now it works. Tax done!

And I get a whopping $92 tax refund! I am rich!

been using etax for about 5 yrs now - one year - i think it was last they forgot to install a file in the early build i had - when i tried to send it wouldn't after checking all my settings i rang them with the error message - sorry - we left out a file Windows needed, download & install it....w%$kers
I have complained for last 3 yrs about them not developing a non-windows version - seems illegal/anti-competitive the government makes you use a commercial program to do tax with -

It depends whether you're referring to the federal government (ATO) etax site or other sites going by the same name?

There's also http://www.etax.com.au/

I am using the ATO's Etax program.

Didn't realise there are sites using "etax" too.

Probably opportunistic on their part, and would cause a bit of confusion.

As far as I know, the Government's etax site came online after the one I provided a link to, which...if anything...makes it confusing on the government's part.

Anway, the name 'etax' really only refers to the opportunity of filing a return via the internet.

It didn't confuse me....nor do multiple sites offering similar 'e' services

Yes, but it should be made to run under different operating system environments. OS X and Linux in particular. Governments are forcing people to use proprietary formats and that's not acceptable imho.

My tax dollars made etax (the program). I object having to pay Microsoft tax in order to use it.

Though now days just run windows inside a VM (vmplayer is free and very fast, see http://www.easyvmx.com/).
