theres a bright pass tomorrow morning of -3.4mag of the space station heading sw to ne reaching alt 74 deg starting at 5.45am finishing 5.50am bassed on my location. and im pretty central along the east coast should be a great sight set the alarm a little early and take a cuppa outside and have a look

Yes it should be better than the one on Friday 1st August as it will be earlier and therefore the ISS should be relatively brighter. I totally bombed out on Friday's pass - it was overhead before I saw it visually and by then had no chance to track with the scope.
Wow, I mean.... WOW. That thing was really bright and huge. It passed directly overhead here in Brisbane. I tried to get the dobsonian onto it but it was too fast for me to catch, had to use the bino's instead. Still pretty impressive. It went really bright just as it past directly overhead and then faded again as it sunk to the northeast. Very impressive.
what a great sight the brightest id seen and what a clear morning i was able to get a double wammy some 50 seconds after iss finished to the ne there was an uridium flare at -6mag

Mrs R and I were outside just after twilight yesterday (busily disagreeing about the position of Izar) when the ISS came from behind a tree, occulting Acturus,through the zenith and out to the SE where it faded from view after getting to the earths shadow.
thats the first time we've seen it, fantastic!
-Its really hard to get the brain to agree that it is not a plane at 1000 Metres when its that bright and that fast.
I didn't get much of a chance to see it (damn) but I remember the very first time before I got my first scope seeing ISS pass over at -3.5 mag. Very first object I noticed and identified. (couldn't really miss it)
it was a -1.8 pass here and a nice yellow mixed with a small amount of high cloud and it was a realy dark yellow
tomorrow a -3.3 pass at 5.33pm should be another beauty
a was showing my 5 and 3 year old the dvd that came in the paper on sun and telling them that that was what we were looking at my older boy was amazed

I picked the daughter up from Nursery at 5:36 and normally say to her where is the stars and she looks up on the way to the car park.
We watched the ISS pass by Brisbane at around this time.
I never knew about the fly by but have seen it dozens of times before and recognized it as it went on its merry way
So the daughter watched the ISS go by at the age of 11 months
