Lots going on tonight but the skies didn't cooperate much. Seeing was OK but transparency was poor. So, I caught less frames than usual. First processing - not trying to make moons pretty - aligned on planet. WIS is elongated as Matt and Quark pointed out - and a very interesting shape. There's almost like a "hole" in the middle that the impact is curving around. Ganymede is to the right and Europa is transiting. Enjoy!
That is an astonishing image given the unfavourable position of Jupiter for you guys in the N Hemisphere; really nice work. As you have noted, there appears to be some slight colour mis-registration on the moons, but hey, with a Jupiter that good, who cares!
