Question dew controller

ive been useing my dew heater on my lx90 for several years its wrapped around the corrector plate and velcroed into place your standard strap i have a dual temperature gauge internal and external temps while running the scope the variation is usually around 3 to 4 deg with a dew heater controller i will be able to vary the temp and add extra heaters does this 3 to 4 deg variation that i have at the moment interfear with my observing meaning could it alter my views with extra temperatures running across the corrector plate ive heard you only need to be 1 deg higher than ambiant temp any info would be appreciated as i my buy a controller at astrofest
