Crop Circles.
After watching a small debate on the "Sunrise" morning show on tv this morning, got me thinking about (once again) these strange shapes in fields all around the world. I am one of those people in the undecided section of this on going topic. What do you think about it ?? Anyone seen one ??

Crop Circles
I thought that the crop circle mystery had been solved years ago!
There was a famous case in Britain where crop circles appeared in a corn field. They got more and more elaborate as time went on and they set up camera and found the real culprits - a couple of guys having a bit of fun on a tractor!
I agree with ving - why would aliens come all the way to earth just to do a bit of Backyard Blitz in a corn field!

Must be 'Crop Circle' week. I watched a Documentary on PayTV on the weekend about them.
They had a group of students go into a field at night and make crop circles and then had the UFO/Crop Circle/Research people come and investigate on the following day.
The 'experts' came up with 'fascinating' readings showing extra-terrestrial magnetic & electric disturbances and all sorts of whacky things to 'prove' it was Alien!
Meanwhile the Students and producers of the show where having a great chuckle!!!

Whats the point of them, if they are messages you would need a fair sized dob to read them.
Fun with tractors gets my vote.

Seems people everywhere want to believe in some mythic/mysterious creature or occurence. Around here it's Sasquatch or Bigfoot. In Great Britain crop circles or the Loch Ness monster. What do you have down there in Oz for silly people to believe in?

As a resident of the Kilcoy district, I can confirm the existance of the Yowie. The Yowie in Yowie Park that is. They tried to cover his willy with a fig leaf once, but the kids nicked that. That is when the puritans of the town knocked off his willy.
As for the existance of a true Yowie?
He's probably an old hairy hermit that lives in a shack down at the creek. Sneaking into town at night to pinch a bit of food, and scare the locals.
I watched a doco ages ago. Two oldies in the UK showing how they made crop circles where they lived, using a metal gate to press down the stalks evenly.

It is a long way to travel to leave a circle in a wheat field and then just leave...

Not if it's in your own field.

In my area crop-circles were all the 'rage' back in the late 70s'-mid 80s' I've seen several personally.

Oh, good grief.
Check out the humans who make these things
http://www.circlemakers.org/
I can't believe that some people still believe these things are not man made!

Cheers
