Toner Transfer Film for PCB's ?

Hi all,

I'm trying to make up a PCB for a little Telescope project however i'm running into a bit of difficulty using Press-n-Peel transfer film, I have since found out that this film will not work with Brother Laser Printers, now, knowing that there are a lot of electronics professionals and Enthusiasts on this Forum I'm wondering if anybody has had success with this product and what Printer they use to achieve it

When, in a previous life, I worked as a tech at a uni we used to just photocopy the printed file onto OHT(a mirror image) and just use that to create our boards. We just had to remember to place the printed side down on the PCB before UV treatment.

I used to print the blue press & peel with a Sansung cheapy laser and it worked well.
Then use an iron.

I have been trying to avoid the photo etch path due to the amount of extra chemicals it requires (not a fan) not to mention over involved process of achieving a single one off pcb.

The toner transfer method seems to be the way to go for me

Cheers for that,

I have just returned from searching the Sutherland Shire for a HP laser printer (recommended elsewhere) to no avail.

Off to the street now to get that Samsung laser I turned down earlier
