Locked slo-mo Porta Mount

Hi Everyone,

I have a Vixen Porta Mount, I tighten it too much, tring to balance a SV-102ED2, and now the Dec. Slo-Mo control locks up, can't turn it in either direction.
Did this happen to anyone else ?

Tom

This happened to me as well. There is no good, permenant fix. Try backing-off the tension and pointing the scope upwards at about 45 degrees and re-tensioning. I found I could use the controls but with huge amounts of lag.
Really, this mount is not up to anything much over 4kg as the instructions state. Some reviewers claim success up to 10 kg, but its really designed for a much lighter OTA.
Best of luck.

Peter,

I now got it to balance, but the Alt, will only move the scope going up direction, when I try to move down the slo-mo control locks up, so I have to move it by hand.

Thanks,

Tom
