I am stoked to have taken apicture of my very first threatened species. the rockwarbler only lives in sydneys sandstone region. with every time the sydney region expands the habitat for this bird shrinks. They are meant to be a solitary bird but i saw a pair hunting around the rocks together.
The only threatened bird I've photographed it was a very poor quality image of this thing way up in a tree.
You may want to check if you can have your photos and sighting recorded somewhere. In WA our Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) maintains a database of sightings of threatened and endangered species. So when I took my photo of one I had the location and photo recorded in the database.
