For Novacastrians and those who reside in Newcastle.....

There will be a mag -8 Iridium flare (Iridium-7) at 6:16pm tonight.....

flare centre is at 32.906S 151.754E
flare will be at azimuth 21 degrees (NNE)
altitude 67 degrees

Not sure what light will be light, not really dark, but hey .... -8 mag, I think you will see it! May even see it through really light cloud..... May need your sunnies... hehe

Against a blue sky and the near full moon about 15 degrees away too.....

That'll do it! It was only visible for 4-5sec with the ambient light about..... better luck next time!
