You don't have a 'radio doesn't cater to my clearly superior and eclectic tastes' option!

Given a choice between having to listen to JJJ or being marooned on a desert island, I would start saying my goodbyes to family and friends.
Cheers

Indeed, I alternate between "old bloke" mode (2GB) of a morning and "not really wanting to grow-up" (JJJ) of an arvo! I love most of the music (or I hate it!), really like "Hack" of an afternoon!

I've been listening to JJJ since the day it went onto the airwaves and have never changed the dial.
I've even learned to like Hip Hop (a bit)
Cheers

haha trev
listen when I am able , I did turn off it a little through the day a while back , a couple of the daytime presenters at the time seemed pretty manic in pushing a very narrow and limited mix of music our way, I recall the odd whole shift where rarely an australian artist got a spin and if they did it was fairly rare .
But nothing wrong with that If its a fair indication of the listeners
want's , but you get to hottest 100 time and wheres this music
on the count relative to how much I have had to listen to it ?. It just isn't there, bump it off with all the dedicated late nighters where it belongs .. imo
rant over

JJJ were great about 10 years ago. But it's not my genre anymore.
I listen to less commercial radio stations anymore. More local stuff.
1 station, is probably that local, you could call them "hick"...ahahaha
Awesome blues / legend rock'n roll sets and folk music played.

I listened to the first JJ trial broadcasts way back, and the first JJ song played was Skyhooks, You just like me cause I'm good in bed. It was banned so I think that is why they played it.
I listen to classic FM these days but still write and record "rock" music in my studio.
Triple J has its place and is very important in getting lots of different music to the public. All music has its place. What I cannot listen to is commercial radio especially talk back.

Think I did once, for about 30 seconds. Not to my taste at all.

The only radio I get to listen to regularly is at work. Radio IGA. Ugh
If I'm driving in the car on weekday afternoons, I'll tune into 4BC to listen to my favourite news presenter.
Though I'm surprised that he hasn't snuck any astronomy related stories into the bulletins. Not a word about Peter Marples supernova discoveries. tsk tsk tsk
From home we can only pick up a couple of stations.

I tuned into it once a few years ago and was amazed that the stupid announcers thought it was funny for someone to knock the Gonads of the Big Bull at Rockhampton and blackmail the City Council for their return
Never listened to it since

I used to love JJ and then early JJJ because it presented itself as an alternative music station. I could go there to hear everything that wasn't mainstream, and get my fill of punk, psychadelic, etc. Nowadays it imresses me as a "youth" station rather than "alternative". I've switched off and gone to talk-back. LOL!
