I was watching the temperature plummet to below zero and noticed the lovely ice crystal halo forming around the moon, as well as the action of the upper jetstreams effect on the high cloud.
I thought it would look nice in some icy colours so I got creative with the hue and saturation.

I hadn't actually planned it. I didn't notice Scorpius until I processed it. I just walked up the road a bit away from our BBQ and framed the moon a few times until I got some decent shots on the preview screen.
After flicking through a few of the images i am thinking I should have done a time-lapse there. Even 3 frames of movement was SPECTACULAR!
